Ohio Amish Furniture, Mission Furniture, and Shaker Furniture
AmishOutletStore.com is the best choice for Ohio Amish furniture. We are proud to offer quality furniture made in America. Locally owned and operated by the Hilty family of Smithville, Ohio near the heart of Amish country, AmishOutletStore.com offers a wide selection of beautiful handmade Amish furniture at competitive prices.
Each piece is custom-made by highly skilled Amish crafters who use quality solid wood and materials along with proven construction techniques passed down through the generations. The result is a durable piece of furniture that combines functionality, practicality, and unmatched beauty.
We Use Only the Best Materials in Our Production Process
Our authentic Amish furniture is crafted from northern kiln-dried hardwood to ensure the highest quality. We never use particle board, pressboard, or masonite-type materials in any of our furniture.
Every piece is available in oak, cherry, and most pieces can be made in maple, walnut, and quarter sawn white oak along with brown maple and hickory. Rustic woods like cherry or quarter sawn white oak can also be made. Tops, sides, face, face-frame and drawer fronts typically consist of solid wood. Most drawers feature dovetailed construction that provides superior strength and stability and include solid poplar backs and sides. Most drawer backs and bottoms are made with veneer/plywood to reduce the weight of the finished piece. All bookcases or TV Stands that go against a wall would have a 1/4″ veneer/plywood back. This also applies to the case goods. Having a plywood back lets your item shrink and expand without splitting the good wood.
Natural Wood Grain Variations Create Distinctive Furniture Pieces
The use of solid oak and cherry wood is what makes our Amish furniture so distinctive – and beautiful. Oak and cherry, quarter sawn white oak and brown maple wood are known for the natural variations in wood grain and coloring, which are even more visible when you select a natural or light stain. Rustic woods will have knots and pit holes which are common traits. As a result, each piece has its own unique characteristic and no two pieces ever look exactly alike. As time goes on, the woods will darken by being exposed to the environment.

Our McCoy chairs arrived yesterday-we are beyond delighted with the quality of the materials and craftsmanship. This furniture is solid-like the kind your grandparents would have in their home, very heavy, solid wood and rugged upholstery fabric. Prior to purchasing these pieces, we shopped in a number of stores and were disappointed in the amount of particle board, the inattention to detail, and the quality of the finishes-not to mention the lack of flexibility with regard to individual stain/fabric preferences. We’ll be back.
