  1. Browse our products and select the items with options you wish to order.  (Please note that “Oak” is the default page on most items…you can select any wood type you like)
  2. Follow our simple instructions and fill in your name, address and e-mail.  This is only for quote purposes.  Be sure to click on “Submit Quote Request”.  Please note that there is no place to put credit card information on our Indoor Furniture.  Outdoor Furniture has its own order site and this can be ordered directly without speaking to a sales person.  
  3. Your quote will be confirmed via email instantly.  You will then receive a telephone call (or E-mail message, whichever you want) within two business days.
  4. Quotes submitted after 4:00 pm ET will be addressed on the next business day.
  5. The lowest possible rate will be quoted for shipping for both Curb Side delivery and In Home delivery (white glove).
  6. All orders are hand-made so it will take approximately 6-7 months, sometimes longer, for your furniture to be built. If your order is a custom piece, it may take longer to complete.

For your convenience, we are happy to ship your order to anywhere in the contiguous United States. Orders can take up to 6-7 months to build; custom orders may take longer. It will take 3-4 weeks to have your order delivered once the items are paid in full. Shipping will be quoted to you as Curb Side Delivery (This will be delivered by 1 driver to your address. You will be required to unload the furniture) and In Home Delivery (items will be brought into your home and put where you want.  All items will be set up unless you order a baby crib.  Instructions will come with the item).  

If you would prefer to pick up your order in person, we would be happy to make arrangements for you to do so. Please bring a suitable vehicle and packing blankets or wrapping material. Our furniture is not boxed or packaged in the warehouse. We are located in Smithville, Ohio 44677.

Payment Terms

We accept several methods of payment: Mastercard, Visa, Discover, Certified Check, Money Order or Personal Check.  Mailing address: Amish Outlet Store, P.O. Box 396, Smithville, Ohio  44677.  If you are from another country outside of the United States of America, please contact us for payment options. (We cannot accept a personal check from another country).

A fifty percent deposit is due before the order can be started. The balance on orders is payable before we can release your order for shipping. Please note that if you mail a personal check for your balance, it must clear before your order can be delivered, which can take up to one week.


Every piece of furniture we sell comes with a 1-year guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. You can be sure that these items will out-last any one of us which means that we guarantee the quality is not just good, but great!  Should you detect a defect or damages in any way throughout the year, simply contact Amish Outlet Store and we will have the items repaired or replaced at our discretion with no charge to you.  Unnatural use or misuse of any item is not under our guarantee.

Breadboard Disclaimer

Wood is a natural product and most hardwoods have open grain, which allows the boards to expand and contract with changes in temperature and humidity. Even solid furniture with protective finishes can experience movement from time to time. This can be especially noticeable in plank-top tables with breadboard ends.

Breadboard ends do not expand/contract in the same direction of the main planks due to the grains running in opposite directions. This could create an offset between the planks and the ends. This is not something to be alarmed over, as you may see the table go through the expanding/contracting cycle as the seasons change. This is not a defect in the material or an issue with the workmanship; it is the result of the natural movement of the wood. We request that you keep your humidity between 35-40% to minimize these effects.

With this in mind, breadboard-end items cannot be returned due to expanding/contracting.


Numerous stain colors are available. You can view them (and fabric samples) by clicking on “View Stain Samples” or “View Fabric Samples” on the item page of our site. We recommend, however, requesting stain samples when you order to help determine your choice.  Stain samples can be sent to you free of charge if you place an order and we have your 50% deposit.  We do request the samples be returned.  A charge will be applied if samples are not returned.  If you require samples before you order, we will charge a $30.00 deposit which can be used towards your order once you place an order AND the samples are returned. (If you live outside the US, the cost can be more for samples) If you do not place an order, you will not receive a refund.  Fabric or leather samples can only be sent to you WITH an order.

Natural finish clearly displays the color variations of solid hardwood furniture. This variation is a natural identifying characteristic of solid wood. There are no return privileges for natural finished furniture due to color variations. Please note that Cherry wood will darken. Brown Maple wood will have different parts to the wood that takes stain different. This means that some areas will look lighter and some will look darker depending on the wood grains.  This is the beauty of REAL wood and no two pieces will look the same.

Dark stain on Hard Maple wood tends to look blotchy and uneven. Dark colors on Hard Maple will be done with the understanding that there are no return privileges due to blotchy and/or uneven color tones. Please speak to our sales staff to receive a cost to have a stain put on Hard Maple.

Fabric and leather samples can be sent to you. Fabric selections can be viewed by clicking on “View Fabric Samples” on the item page.  Ask your sales associate for more details. Our leather is the finest full top grain available, although you may see healed scars and markings which is natural. These hides are not coated and/or corrected. We offer Faux leather for the same price as fabric; see our fabric list.


After the staining process, our products are finished with “Wood-Var” which has a satin sheen (unless you requested a specialty finish). This is a modified catalyzed conversion varnish formulated to be virtually “Hazardous Air Pollutant” free. This premium grade finish is a very environmentally friendly product to apply and use, and is tough and resistant to scratches and spills.  When ordering items in an “UNFINISHED” state, your warranty is only good for 30 days, since all raw wood needs to be sealed in order to avoid cracks and splitting. The finish will also not have our guarantee since we cannot control what you do to the items or what type of finish that is applied.

Control the Environment

Your furniture responds to changes in temperature and humidity by expanding and contracting slightly. You must keep the indoor humidity in the 30 to 45 percent range and the temperature in the 60 to 80 degree range 365 days a year. Ultraviolet light from the sun and fluorescent fixtures can cause chemical changes in the wood and/or finish. Avoid placing furniture in an area where the sun will shine directly on it. Keep furniture away from direct sources of heating and cooling. Avoid storing furniture in an attic or cellar-type environment. Inexpensive humidity gauges can be purchased at your local hardware store.

Cancellation Policy

An order can be cancelled on the same day your order was put in.  You will incur a cancellation fee of 5% of your deposit after the first day if paying by credit card.  If you paid by check, and your order has not been started, you can receive a full refund of your deposit.   Please note that we are in the office Monday thru Friday from 8:30am to 5pm EST.   Cancellations after 3 days will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.  Please note that if construction has been started, or the items are completed, a refund may not be issued. 

Return Policy

Standard items may be returned within ten days via common carrier at the customer’s expense. If the items are returned in good condition, a refund (excluding shipping charges and a 15% restocking fee) will be issued. Custom pieces are non-returnable. Furniture that has NATURAL finish is non-returnable due to color variations in the natural form. Should you receive an item that is defective or damaged in shipping, we will, at our option, have the item repaired or replaced at no additional cost. Please be prepared to send us photos of the damage or defect.  If the item you ordered was a CUSTOM order or you received a special stain match,  your item is non-returnable.
